COLT- RIDEShare
Most co-living facilities house students/ individuals just starting in their jobs. They find it difficult to own and maintain a Bike/ Car and it is difficult for co-living spaces to offer enough parking for all tenants. To overcome this Co-living spaces can provide access to shared transportation options, such as bike / car-pooling among tenants, by integrating with the existing COLT Tenant APP. Some benefits of RideShare are listed below:
- Residents can access transportation options through COLT Resident APP, making it easier to travel without the need for vehicle ownership or waiting for public transportation schedules.
- Shared transportation fosters social interaction and community building by bringing residents together during shared journeys. Carpooling or ride-sharing provides opportunities for conversations, networking, and building connections among residents who share similar travel routes or destinations.
- Shared transportation has positive environmental impacts. It reduces greenhouse gas emissions, air pollution, and carbon footprint, improving air quality.
- Sharing transportation reduces individual expenses associated with owning, maintaining, and operating private vehicles. By sharing the costs among multiple tenants, they can save money compared to owning a personal vehicle.
- Ridesharing by people staying in one place can enhance safety on the roads. The co-living spaces typically conduct the tenant’s background checks through Aadhar Verification and police verification of tenants, providing an extra layer of security to both vehicle owner and passenger.
